WALK/WADE, public water:

C B Mactrout offers guided fly fishing excursions in Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado on the Gunnison, East and Taylor Rivers and their tributaries. These trout fishing excursions can be full day, half day or customized for one or more anglers. Equipment,waders, boots, snacks and water are provided on all guided trout fishing excursions.

Lunch is provided on full day trout fishing excursions. Fishing licenses are required for all fishermen 16 years of age or over and may be obtained at various fly fishing shops in the area or on-line from the Colorado DOW. Click (HERE) to get a Colorado fishing license on-line. Transportation from your lodging to the trout fishing water and back will be provided.

WALK/WADE, Private Trout Waters:

C B MacTrout has access to many miles of the top private trout fishing water in the area through memberships in Flycasters Limited, Gunnison Fly Fishing Club and Rocky Mountain Anglers Club. Exclusive use of these privately stocked fly fishing waters allows you an uncrowded, relaxed atsmosphere in which to hone your fly fishing skills. Additional rod fees may apply to private waters.

Float fish: Gunnison River

You float to trout fish the upper Gunnison River. 17 of the first 20 miles of the Gunnison River are private trout waters, only accessible by float fishing. The “Gold Medal” trout fishing waters of the Gunnison River are accessed best through C B MacTrout’s top of the line fly fishing guides, float fishing boats and trout fishing equipment. We offer full and ½ day trout fishing excursions for fly fishing and lure fishing. Late afternoon lure fishing trips are available.
